YAY! It’s Time for #JuicyJune!


Let’s get ready to JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!

Last year, I began juicing again after my pregnancy…and that’s how JUICY JUNE began! I announced on a video that I’d be doing a juice fast, and tons of YouTubers and Facebookers decided they would jump on the juice train with me! It was totally amazing, but COMPLETELY spontaneous and disorganized.

Fast forward to February of this year and another inspired juicing session. This time, when I put it out on Facebook, 557 people said they would do it with me! I formed a group and we were off to the races, and we eventually swelled to 591 juicers. It was the first time I had ever led a “structured” juice cleanse, and the results for all involved were PHENOMENAL (see Juice Fast Testimonials).

Well, it’s time to celebrate JUICY JUNE again with a “new and improved” juice group cleanse!

Here’s what you’ll get when you come get juicy with us:

  • A SECRET Facebook Group – our February members found this UBER helpful! You are not only able to share the ups, downs, in-betweens, and TMI discussions with folks who are going through it, too, you are also able to hide any comments or posts from the prying eyes of others on your FB page! Yep…you can go through the process in PRIVATE.
  • ALL MY BOOKS – I have already uploaded 101 Juice Fast Recipes, 101 Smoothies (for those who want to smoothie instead of juice for the month), Juice28/Fruit, AND Juice28/Veggie into the group docs! This way, you have all the recipes you need, tips, FAQs, shopping lists, transition menus…EVERYTHING to keep your juice game in tip top shape!
  • GUIDED TRANSITION WEEKS INTO & OUT OF THE FAST – Who needs to go Cold Tofu when you can ease your way in and out of juicing? We will begin the transition process into Juicy June on Sunday, May 25th with a guided menu, posts, videos, and encouragement. We’ll do the same on the backend to transition you back to solid food safely!
  • SUPPORT & ENCOURAGEMENT – Listen…I know. I know how some of you have gone through cleanses before. It can be very difficult without support. I am the kind of person who does a lot of things by herself, and was absolutely blown away by what I LEARNED (yep…learned!) in the February group! There was so much love and support and “yippees!” and “#ONWARDs” (private joke) and just total amazeballness to walk into at every moment of the day. Someone was always there to catch you when you needed it, and when fasting, YOU NEED THAT. Here…you got it!
  • HANGOUTS! – I’ve never done this before, but we’ll have two Google Hangouts during the course of the month so you can ask me WHATEVER you want!

There are only three requirements for you to join the group:

  1. You MUST drink no less than 64 ounces of juice (or smoothie) per day.
  2. You MUST drink no less than 64 ounces of water in addition to your juice/smoothie intake.
  3. You have to pay the $15 “Commitment Fee” to be included in the group.

Why a “Commitment Fee”, you ask?

First, studies show that when you have some skin in the game (e.g. paying a fee to participate), you are less likely to bail on an activity. To join a juice fast group for free is encouraging and all, but to pay for it means you are truly committing to your own change. Second, I’m a single mother, a business owner, AND providing all my content to those who commit. None of those things equal “free”. :)

This is going to be EPIC! A total life-changer for those who commit to the process. For those who have juiced before, you know what’s possible! For those who were in the February group, you KNOW how much fun we will have! For those who have never juiced before, what better way to jump into it?!?

Another TMI Discussion: Today’s Colonic!

Yeah, yeah, yeah…I know. I know, I know, I KNOW you don’t want to have yet another convo about colonics. I know how much I love them and how much some of y’all don’t. All that said, I JUST HAD TO SHARE! I had the GREATEST colonic session today! 

Don’t worry. I’m not breaking out pics or anything, and I’m not going to get graphic about my “output”. I just want to tell y’all what I’m discovering about what’s really possible – for the mind, the body and the heart – on a long juice fast. 

Does A Body Good


First, for those of you who wonder about why it’s necessary to do colonics at all, lemme tell you – it’s Day 52 for me and I STILL have solid matter passing through me. Juicing has loosened things up considerably, which is great, and folks have to realize how important it is for you to clean out the stopped-up toxins, processed foods and “spackle” that’s just hanging out in there. Juicing alone doesn’t do it, and neither do fiber pills. As I mentioned in the first TMI Discussion video, you have to flush effectively! That being said, I wasn’t surprised to see what was coming out.

But that’s not all! 

My colon hydrotherapist, Shakeira, took a look at my “output” and said, “Interesting! Have you gone through some emotional release lately?”

OMG! You can see that by what’s comin’ out of my butt?!?! Seriously?

The realization of what this juice fast means to me and my word was a huge moment. HUGE, I tell you. That allowed me to let go of so many emotions, past hurts, unrealistic expectations, falsities, and unclear views. I see me, what I want, and how I can simply “do the thing” and get it. A major release for me. In addition to that, I am evolving even more on a deeper personal level and opening myself love and relationships in a way that I haven’t in years. Holding onto the past and my body issues has held me back for so long, and now I’m moving through it. I see what my patterns were before and saying, “No more. I see and accept me now, clearly and wholly.”

When Shakeira noticed my output and asked me about my emotional release, it made me realize how much what we carry in our heads and our hearts translates into what we carry in our body. My body wasn’t going to release the months (years?) of spackle and waste until I delved into what was really going on in my emotions. Now that I have honestly looked into myself  (and continue to, because the journey never stops), it’s POOP CITY, BABY! How awesome!

Now, let’s turn this to what this means to you. 

My client was telling me that during her first fast, she knew she was just going through the motions. She even told me in our first session how she was focused on weight loss, but not all the emotional stuff (and of course I sat back and chuckled to myself). She made it 27 days and proceeded to then have a complete breakdown. She knows now that tapping (Uh, tapping? DIGGING is more like it) into your emotions while allowing your body, mind, soul, and heart to cleanse while juicing is the key to ultimate health and well being. You cannot have one without the other.

Juice Fast Day 50: My Halfway Mark!

I’ve made it. I’ve made it to the halfway point…Day 50. DAY FIFTY, PEEPS!

I cannot express how proud I am of myself for making it this far. Yes, I’ve done long fasts before, but never without cheating. I’ve never delved so deep into myself. I’ve never been so damn BUSY and have still kept juicing, still kept focused. And I am. I am focused, I am excited, I am celebrating my success to this point!

Let’s talk about the results I’ve seen thus far, shall we?

MENTALLY: Y’all know that last month brought a lot of emotions, a lot of a-ha moments, and a lot of crazy craving dreams! Now, I feel that I have turned a corner. I had a dream the other night that really shocked me – it started out the way the other ones have (in Popeye’s this time)…and as I started towards the counter to buy some chicken, I actually remembered I was on a juice fast and grabbed some apple juice! This was in my DREAM, folks, which means that my subconscious finally understands the mission I’m on! I mean, damn…it’s about time.

EMOTIONALLY: I’m a little ragged around the edges. Things are REALLY busy for me right now – the baby, the business, the exercise routine, the juicing, my household – and I’m finding that balance is hard to come by. I feel as if something always falls off the plate on a daily basis. However, I’m not letting my juicing fall by the wayside at all. I may not always get my 96 ounces – sometimes I only get in 64 ounces (but NEVER less than that) – but I never go without juice. I know that things will balance out soon. This level of activity is just new for me, and I know I can move through this calmly. 

DETOX: Mouth still fuzzy. LOL! 

PHYSICALLY: I feel like a weight loss STAR! I’m down 33.8 pounds (more than halfway towards my goal of 60 pounds gone!) and have released another 7.50 inches! My waist is down 2.5 inches, belly down 3.75 inches and hips down 3.5 inches. Insanity! 

In addition, I can really, really see the difference in myself. I stand in front of my full length mirror and can see that my thighs are smaller, my tummy is flatter and I’m much smaller all around! My old clothes are gone, and I’m fitting into much smaller workout gear. Oh! And speaking of working out, I’m currently following the “Couch to 5K” running program, and I feel strong and energized while working out. I don’t feel worn out or run down at the end, which makes me know I’m getting enough nutrients. 

I am truly excited. Actually, that’s a massive understatement…a chick is GIDDY right now! I’m motivated to finish, simply because of the amazing results I’ve seen thus far! I have another 50 days to go, and if my results are this good for the next 50 days, I am golden. 

Now that I’ve hit this point, I’m beginning to think about life after the fast. I have already decided that a high-raw life is what is best for me – essentially, I’ll be raw (juices, smoothies, mono meals, salads) until dinner and then eat a scrumptious plant-strong meal. Some days that’ll be cooked food, however I have a feeling it’ll probably be a LOT of salads for dinner, since those are easy to make big batches ahead of time and I can maneuver them best with the Bean in tow. In that vain, I’ve been scouring Pinterest for recipes, and I’m really enjoying the discovery of new foods and flavors! I am excited to dive into prepping and cooking all-natural, all plant-strong dishes after this is all over. (Y’all should follow me and my boards! I’ve got GREAT stuff!)

All in all, it’s been an amazing 50 days. And, of course…100 DAYS OR BUST!
