Come Hang With Me on Pinterest!

Don’t you get a little overwhelmed by all the social media sometimes? I know I do. Right now, I manage the blog, am heavy on Facebook, have the YouTube channel, and maintain a Twitter presence. So, when all this talk of Pinterest came up, I said, “Hell no”.


When I juice (Day 11, by the way), my sleeping cycles are insane. One morning around 4AM, I was wide awake and found myself playing around on Pinterest for some odd reason. I had set up an account on a whim MONTHS ago, and found myself with a bunch of followers already.

HOURS LATER, I emerged with boards, posts, videos… tons of stuff! 

We are such visual people by nature. One of the things I love about Pinterest is the ability to post all these great raw food and juice photos I’ve accumulated over the months. It’s a way to show people the true beauty of the living food we eat! It’s also cool to see the creations and photos other people post and re-pin (see? I’m even getting the lingo!). I translate that into a true love of all things living. 

So, if you’re on Pinterest, let’s connect! I definitely don’t think I’m expanding my social media too much more (way to much to manage!), but this is just too much fun not to play with. Let’s spread the juicy good word through pictures!

The Simple Truth About Alkaline vs. Acidity

So, tell me the truth… when you hear people begin to spout terms like “alkalinity” and “acidosis”, do you begin to glaze over and mentally replay last night’s episode of American Idol? Yeah, I used to as well. Well, not American Idol… maybe Breaking Bad or Mad Men. Ooooh, Jon Hamm!

Wait, what was I saying? Oh yeah! ALKALINITY! Sorry about that. Back to the subject at hand!

Like I said… I USED to. But now that I understand how important alkaline foods are to the body and how damaging acidic foods are, my ears perk up every time I hear the terminology and I have the urge to reach for the nearest bunch of kale.
